Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

I did not get to spend as much time with my mother as I would have liked – but I will always remember her laughter, her love and the joy she took in celebrating the ‘Irish’ on St. Patrick’s day.

Wearing of the ‘Green’ – Shamrocks – Irish music and that special dinner of Corned Beef and Cabbage, were all a part of her celebration. As for me – I think we should find joy as often as possible. We have MUCH to celebrate.

My rejoicing begins in knowing that I am loved, and not dependent on ‘luck’ (whether it’s Irish or not). Luck is subject to change. God’s love for us is not — It’s unconditional and ever-lasting. There is no ‘Blarney’ in that!

So, while my corned beef simmers in the slow-cooker, I will prepare to enjoy it and the cabbage, carrots, spuds, and Irish Soda Bread we have planned for dinner.

We will share love and laughs with family, and celebrate how much closer we are to Spring again… and in my soul I will dance a happy jig of thanks, and rejoice that my present and future are secure no matter what I, or anyone else, may do. It will not depend on luck – but on the rock-sold foundation of love.

May you celebrate the same.

Blessings, Love, and Laughter to you,

Margaret
