Dear Reader,

Have you ever had so much to say, and been so motivated to share, that you just didn’t know where to start? Well, that’s me – right now.

A bounty of information is coming soon – with posts defining psychological treatment therapies, Christian integration strategies – plus genuine encouragement from research, practical applications, and self-help guides.

I’ve been pondering my need for clear focus so that I can share the gifts we will explore together, effectively – and I don’t have that right now.

My scattered reflection was triggered by a family medical emergency – complete with a 911 call, hospitalization for a loved one, and a chain of follow-up appointments seeking answers to un-resolved questions.

Real treasure is coming soon.  Meanwhile I am appreciating treasures of another kind that were found this week in the forms of survival, prayers, expressions of love and support.

In the midst of confusion and floods of other emotion – I have been blessed.  Here is my poor attempt to share with you:

Ever feel as if alone – standing at the edge of the world?

‘Alone’ – disproved when we look up – at starry skies unfurled.

We may wonder if the ‘edge’ we face marks the end, or the beginning?

Trying to sense the direction our inner worlds keep spinning.

We pray that challenge will finally be satisfied, by winning – and we go on …

We go on.  We can go on – no matter what, because we are not alone.

Our Lord gave instructions and assurance to His disciples saying:

“… And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”  

Matthew 28:20

We are modern-day disciples … and He is with us.  May you be blessed this week with a real sense of God’s presence in your life, and His great love for you – no matter what events may be taking place in your life or in the world around you.

Sometimes what feels or looks like the end – is a new beginning.
